The Friends of the Alameda Free Library is a volunteer organization. The Alameda
Friends group was founded in 1973 to increase public awareness of the Library as an
essential part of the community and to support the Library in developing services and
facilities.
In recent years, the Friends have worked toward the goal of a new Main
Library. That goal will be realized in the Fall of 2006 when Alameda's new Library
opens at the corner of Lincoln and Oak.
What else do the Friends do?
Check out the Activities Page for more
information about community involvement through the Friends. We hope you'll join the
Friends and help support the Alameda Free Library. |
