The Friends of the Alameda Free Library hold semi-annual sales of donated books in May and October. Most books are priced between $.50 and $2.

These three-day events include a preview sale on Friday evening, all-day shopping on Saturday, and a Sunday clearance sale. Members receive two free tickets to the Friday preview sale, so join now and be sure to keep your Friends membership current.

The sales are held in the DeWitt O'Club, 641 West Red Line Ave. at Alameda Point, Alameda (the former Naval Air Station).
